Having an October wedding in upstate New York is always a bit of a gamble and many people told us we were crazy. Well, they were right and at one point it began to snow. However, despite the unfortunate (freezing!!) weather, we made the best of it. We moved the ceremony into the barn, borrowed the heaters from the cow barn (sorry cows), and refused to allow a little rain and snow ruin our day.
Without the love, support and help of our friends and family, we never could have done it. Many people pitched in to help make the decorations, as well as to actually help decorate the barn. Everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be. Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, we recited our vows and promised to stay true to one another for all eternity and then we danced until we could dance no more.
It was a perfect day.
